A new football season for the Farnborough A Team saw a number of old faces beginning their second season with the team and some new faces joining them.

Last year's players were: Bailey Mc, Lawrie W, Lucas B, Rhys G, Rico S-D, Theo D and Arthur W.

The players making their full debuts were: Jack F, Jack W, Patric L, Konna Tz, and Adam A-B (our Spanish signing!)

Our opening game saw the team facing Norwood in a league game on a bright and sunny Friday evening. The team began in a dominant manner stringing a series of fantastic passing moves together, creating a series of chances before Lucas B opened the season's team account with a well struck goal. The team continued to play well with Konna and Adam working well together in defence. A second goal came with a break down the left with Theo and Lucas setting Rhys up for his first goal of the season. A third goal soon followed with Lawrie passing to Lucas who scored his second. A fourth goal came from a corner with Lucas getting his hat-trick

The second period saw Patric and Arthur looking secure in defence and Jack, Rico and Bailey combining well in midfield. Despite creating a number of chances the match remained 4 nil to Farnborough.

The third period of the game saw Norwood create a couple of chances, however Jack F looked secure in goal.  Rico and Lucas were creating chance after chance and eventually Rico was able to breach the Norwood defences and make it 5-0. Lawrie having switched to the right wing, saw his hard work rewarded with a goal. 

The final score saw Farnborough open the season with a 6-1 victory. A fabulous start to the season with some stunning teamwork - well done boys!!
