Bake Off 2016 Final

The Bake Off Final took place this afternoon with Molly Horton (5/4) being crowned FRJS Bake Off 2016 winner.  All four finalists (Molly, Taryn Sinclair 6/2, John Ottley 4/3 and Sienna Turner 3/2) baked and decorated their cakes independently, to a very high standard.  Mrs Ainley and Mr Klaassen judged the cakes and found the decision very difficult.

The three runner ups received medals, a baking set and an Easter Egg.  Our winner received a trophy, a baking set and an Easter Egg.  A further prize was announced to Molly by Mr Klaassen, she has been invited to spend an afternoon at The Dutch Bakery working alongside Mr Klaassen and his team.  Molly was delighted and can't wait to take up the prize!

A huge thank you to Mr Klaassen for being one of our judges, for providing the Easter Eggs and Molly's extra prize.  Thank you also to Mrs Ainley for being our other judge and supporting the children with their baking.  A huge thank you also to Mr Ralph Gregson for very kindly donating the Baking Sets for the Bake Off Finalists.

Mrs Bigland and Mrs Allen would like to thank all the children who took part in the Bake Off this year and we look forward to even more participating next year!
