FRJS Bake Off 2015
We held our first Bake Off this week with amazing results! Over 80 children brought in cakes they'd made at home to be tested and one winner was chosen from each year group.
The grand finalists were Taya Neilson, Abi Etchells, Dylan Duncan and Katie Rodmell. All four baked and decorated their cakes independently this afternoon and were judged by Derrick Klaassen (The Dutch Bakery) Niki from The LemonTree Bakery and Penny Ainley (resident baker!) All judges found the process extremely difficult as the baking was of such a high standard. Abi was crowned Bake Off Winner 2015 and received a trophy and a voucher to enjoy cakes and refreshments from The Courtyard, Little Crosby. The 3 finalists also received a medal and a £10 voucher each from Niki.

With such a greater emphasis on Food Technology in the New Curriculum it's great to see so many budding bakers within our school. Mrs Allen and Mrs Bigland would like to thank all the children who took part and for also helping raise money for Comic Relief.
