Wear orange for Muscular Dystrophy Non-uniform Day Friday 15th February

Our School Council children along with those from other schools in the Southport Learning Partnership have chosen their charity for Friday 15th February non-uniform day. This year we will be raising money by wearing orange for Muscular Dystrophy.

Anything orange will be fine - a headband, socks or even a tie! Keep it simple and we can raise lots for this great charity.

Muscular Dystrophy is a muscle-wasting condition. Over 70,000 people living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK are supported by the charity Muscular Dystrophy UK. They bring together people affected by more than 60 rare and very rare progressive muscle-weakening and wasting conditions.

Muscle-wasting conditions are very rare, affecting just over one in every 1,000 people. As a result, some health professionals may never come across anyone with a muscle-wasting condition and may not know much about them.
