Our Friend from Ghana
We have been delighted to welcome Francis Ato, the headteacher of Evergreen Blossom Academy, to our school this week.
We have been working with Evergreen for 7 years and this is the first time that Francis has been able to come to our school. He has been hosted by Greenbank High but spent Tuesday and Wednesday at our school. He met the children, talked to staff and spent time in lessons as we continue to build our partnership.
We presented Francis with some fundraising money at assembly on Wednesday. The Friends of FRJS give 5% of their fundraising to Evergreen and this has mounted over the past few years.
Francis plans to use our money to improve displays and help to start and IT facility at Evergreen and maybe some of our pupils will also get to visit his school when they are at Greenbank in the future.
