Y6 children had a brilliant day at Crosby Lakeside.

What a wonderful DT exhibition we've had! We've been celebrating the work our Y3+4 pupils completed as their DT Homework Project over half term. All the children were asked to plan, design and make models either; on their own, with a friend or with their families. Y3 focused on their topic of Victorians and explored Victorian houses, buildings and seaside themes. Y4 linked their models to their topics on Habitats and made either habitats or real or imaginary animals.
Have a look at some of the wonderful models in the pictures below - I'm sure you'll agree we've got some talented pupils, parents and grandparents and we hope there weren't too many arguments during the design process!.
We held a fabulous Royal Variety Night to celebrate the Queen's 90th Birthday.
Class auditions became Year Group auditions with the most successful acts going forward to our Gala Performances.
Everyone had a great time and the Queen even came with one of her corgis!
We celebrated the Queen's 90th Birthday in fine style as both schools came together for a Garden Party Picnic.
Over 900 children brought picnic blankets and lunch to school and ate together on the playground to celebrate this special occasion.
With Union Flag bunting, delicious cakes and biscuits from the canteen and the lady herself in attendance, we couldn't have had a better time!
Congratulations to our A Football team who won the prestigious Liverpool Cup this evening, sharing the trophy with St Paul's from Liverpool after an entertaining game.
The team drew their semi final 3-3 against Malvern primary from Huyton after Lucas scored a last second equaliser. The team kept their nerve in the penalty shoot out to sneak through to a final against St Paul's who have been holders for the last two years.
In another tight game, Bailey scored a great goal with the final result of 1-1 meaning that the trophy was shared.
Congratulations to all those involved, particularly to Mr Graham and Mr Walmsley who organised the team this evening.
