Head for a Day and Politics
What is head for a day?
Every year our year 6 students get the chance to become 'head for a day'. First of all, the children get shortlisted from a written letter. Next, the shortlisted children have a week to campaign; creating videos, posters and meeting other students. Finally, voting day happens and a winner is announced!
Looking at politics in school council
We looked at the importance of politics in society and the value of our individual voices. Through Children's Parliament we got the chance to send our questions to our PM; Rishi Sunak. Although our questions weren't picked to be answered, we came up with some fantastic questions that were important to us.
