Team captains
As part of our PE provision team captains have been selected for each team colour from pupils in Year 5 and 6.
For each team colour their is a Year 5 captain and Year 6 captain. They work together to support in the organisation of intra school team events, by promoting the event to all classes, forming teams, explaining the rules of the events and how to undertake some of the activities.
This year they will also focus on increasing the participation levels of children in sporting activities across the Year groups. They will discuss activities the children would like to see by visiting classes and with support will help organise and run the events.
They attend assemblies to introduce themselves and allow all children around school to know who is representing their team and cheering them on at events.
All these tasks help develop their confidence and leadership skills, allowing them to be a representative for the school.
