This section of the website is for events and information linked to the Friends of Farnborough Road who raise vital funds for the school and provide events for the children to enjoy.

Friends Update

We have really missed our Friends group this year.

Sadly we were unable to elect a committee this year and so the school decided to operate without the group and put on the same events for the children.

The staff and parent volunteers have been amazing over the last few months and this means the children have had the same experiences despite the loss of this long standing group.

After discussions with Mr Austin, we have reached a decision about the future on which we are both agreed.

He will call an EGM in the new school year with a view to deciding the future of the group. 

We feel that doing this under his new headship may give the chance to give a fresh start in one way or another.  We both want a group that works in the interests of the children and the school and although this hasn’t been possible this year, we hope it still can be in the future. 

The previous committee have updated the accounts with the Charity Commission and  they also have the next set ready for uploading to reflect activity in 2025/26.

We have not published full accounts before, but as we have had no committee all year, we have shared the latest documents below as we want to make sure we are transparent. We are also arranging for them to be audited as we feel this is the right thing to do. 

We would like to place on record our thanks to everyone who has made the Friends of Farnborough Road a big success in the past and we hope a new year will give the chance of a fresh start. 

We both hope that this approach will create an opportunity to do something really positive for the children of this school.
