What Do The Friends Do With The Money?
The Friends make the decisions about how the money that is raised will be spent. Staff may make requests to the group, but it is up to the committee to decide how the funds will be allocated. In the past year, the Friends have raised a considerable sums of money and spent it on the following items:
- Purchased Ipads for Years 3 and 4
- Funded playground equipment
- £1000 discount per year group for school trips
- Funded visiting theatre groups to school
- Funded the Y6 Leavers Event and gifts including the autograph books
In 2018/19 we will be asking the Friends to help continue their excellent support of the school. We have asked them to target their support towards providing quality reading books for all classrooms, providing resources to support children's wellbeing and continuing to fund playground play equipment.
