National Storytelling Week 2025
National Storytelling Week – A Collaborative Celebration
During the week commencing 3rd February 2025, FRIS and FRJS came together to celebrate National Storytelling Week. This exciting collaborative event was designed to foster a love for storytelling and reading among children across both schools.
As part of the celebrations, children from FRJS visited FRIS to share short stories with younger children. The pairings for the visits were as follows:
Y5 visited Y1
Y6 visited Y2
Y3 visited Reception
Y4 visited Nursery
While FRIS had books available in each class, children from FRJS were encouraged to bring in a book from home that they wanted to share with a child in FRIS.
