Welcome to Farnborough Road Junior SchoolBelonging together, learning together, achieving together

Sefton Poppy

5821 children from Sefton, including 120 from our school have broken the World Record and created the largest human poppy on Southport beach today.

Schools from across the borough took part in the event to mark 100 years since the start of World War One and we couldn't miss out. We decided that our Y6 children would love the experience.

The weather was atrocious at times, but the children braved the elements to take part in this memorable event. We will upload photos as and when we can, with the school Twitter feed also producing some great pictures and stories.

Take a look at Year 6, class 6/4's page for the film clip of the event!
