Space Camp 2 5/2 and 5/3

It is the second Space Camp and we have been lucky with the weather again!

The activities that followed were:

  • The Planetarium - Mr Tong pointed out some different stars and constellations that can be found in the Night sky. We saw Orion in the sky, with his orange shoulder and pale blue foot. Lots of children knew about the plough, although this was a little trickier to find in the galaxy.
  • Cross the Galaxy - Miss Molyneux helped us to practice our teamwork and communication
  • Space Art - Mrs Curran and Mrs Ainley did some great art work that will be absolutely amazing once it is finished.
  • Treasure Hunt - Mrs Coupland encouraged our Space Knowledge and map reading skills.

Once the activities had finished, we sat and watched a short film in the hall while Mr Antell sorted our final treat.

After the film we went out onto the Year 3 yard to a fantastic roaring campfire. We all had a toasted marshmellow, a drink and a biscuit while we chatted about the evening and found out the winning team.
