    ATHLETICS

Congratulations to the 27 children who took part in the Southport Indoor Athletics Final at Stanley on Wednesday evening.

We competed against 5 other teams from the Formby and Southport area and we managed to win a closely fought competition.

The children were a great team, supporting each other throughout and showing very good sportsmanship.

They now go forward to the Merseyside Finals in a couple of weeks. Well done everyone!

  • Evergreen Blossom Academy in Ghana

    Sun 16 Feb 2020 FRJS

Mr Spall and Mrs Coupland have arrived at Evergreen Blossom Academy in Ghana to teach at our partner school for 9 days.

The pictures below show them at the school meeting the children on the first day and touring the school site. Some of Y6 children from last year donated money that paid for the toilet block that is pictured.

There are also pictures of the local area and staff putting up bunting made by the children of FRJS for a school party.

  • Girls Team Representing Southport FC

    Fri 14 Feb 2020 FRJS

Yesterday, our girls' football team made the trip to a blustery AFC Fylde representing Southport FC in the National League Trust Regional Final.

The girls were unfortunate to fall to single goal defeats in 3 games but recorded a thumping 4-1 win over Wrexham, with Sophie bagging 7 goals in the competition and Katelyn netting one.

Well done to all the girls who took part - Sophie, Regan, Evie, Tilly, Alyssa, Charlotte and Macy - who with a bit more luck could have picked up points in those 3 defeats and made the final.

A great (but cold) day was still had by all!!
