Which one is your favourite?
We asked for pictures to show that we love the people who help us!
Whether it is the NHS or another key worker, we really need their help at this time.
Enjoy our pictures over the coming days!

Don't forget, new guidance has been issued by the Government.
Please see this important advice regarding vulnerable group and social distancing:
Please continue to reiterate the importance of high standards of hygiene to your child especially through regular washing of hands for 20 seconds and sneezing or coughing into tissues and disposing of them.
Please see the following posts for helpful information from Young Minds about how to discuss with your child about Covid-19:

These are challenging times for us all but it is important that we all keep as safe as possible and support each other as a partnership.
School App
We are using the school app to send home notifications about the school situation and any updates linked to this matter. We are using this method because it is the most up to date system that we have and we are also able to monitor delivery statistics for important information that we may send. We will copy the same information onto the school website, but the app will alert you as soon as we post news.
If you are not active on the new app you need to act now.
Class Dojo
This will be used to send home tasks for all children and should be used for all teacher/parent communication.
If you are not on this platform, you need to act now.
During this period, all school email addresses will be monitored. This includes the office, teaching staff and my own account. We are happy to help where we can with specific questions you may have linked to your child.
We need to be able to communicate with everyone easily. We sent out this reminder of how we do this on Friday 13/3/20.
Lots of you have been sending in pictures of you home learning with your pets.
A few of your great photos can be seen below.
Home learning is now in full swing for the vast majority of our pupils.
We've enjoyed getting your pictures and we'd love more during the week.
Keep it up everyone!!
Some of our children have been drawing rainbows and putting them in their windows at home.

The poet Matt Goodfellow came to our school on Monday 2nd March.
He entertained us with his amazing poetry and also gave us some great tips for writing our own.
On World Book day itself we all came in as our favourite book character. Everyone looked amazing!
We also held a 'big read' where children could go and listen to the book of their choice in another part of school.

ATHLETICS
Congratulations to the 27 children who took part in the Southport Indoor Athletics Final at Stanley on Wednesday evening.
We competed against 5 other teams from the Formby and Southport area and we managed to win a closely fought competition.
The children were a great team, supporting each other throughout and showing very good sportsmanship.

They now go forward to the Merseyside Finals in a couple of weeks. Well done everyone!

Mr Spall and Mrs Coupland have arrived at Evergreen Blossom Academy in Ghana to teach at our partner school for 9 days.
The pictures below show them at the school meeting the children on the first day and touring the school site. Some of Y6 children from last year donated money that paid for the toilet block that is pictured.
There are also pictures of the local area and staff putting up bunting made by the children of FRJS for a school party.
