    Wed 27 Jun 2018 FRJS

We carry out a school survey every year to see how everyone feels about school.

We ask pupils, parents, staff and governors for their views and then we analyse the results to see how we can make things better.

The results of the parent and pupil survey can be found by clicking the links below.

  • Southport and Waterloo 1 Mile race

    Wed 16 May 2018

We have been so busy at running club I completly forgot to write the run report!

On Wednesday 16th May a massive 30 children went down to Victoria park to represent Farnborough road at the annual 1 mile race.

We had a fantastic night and got some great results, where all the children's hard work in training has paid off.

First up was Year 5 girls race where we had 15 children competing. Tiana was the first girl over the line earning herself a gold medal. We also got the gold trophy for first place team with thanks to Tiana, Isla H, Jasmine and Isla W.

Year 6 boys were up next where we had 10 boys competing. We came 2nd team overall earning ourselves the silver trophy, well done to Levi, William R, Charlie I and Hayden.

Next up were the Year 6 girls unfortunatly we didnt have enough to make a team however the sprint finishes from Alice and Tamzin were very impressive, well done girls.

Final race was the Year 6 boy's where again we didnt have a full team unfortunalty. That didnt dampen the spirits of the boys who showed great team spirit, wel done Nikolai, Eric and Lucas.

We had a fantastic evening and I am so proud of all the children that took part, becuase of their combined times altogether we also won the Overall Primary school trophy, well done Farnborough Runners, you should be very proud of yourselves.

  • Year 5 DT - Biscuit Making

Wed 16 May 2018 Nick Hanlon

As part of Design Technology Yr 5 have been making biscuits based on WWI soldiers biscuits.

The children had to adapt the recipe and use their maths skills to measure out the ingredients.

They then evaluated their biscuits once they had been baked.
